Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By placing an order with Base7 Studio ("we", "us", "our"), you ("the Client") agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them before purchasing. If you have questions, email us at hello@base7studio.com before placing your order.

2. Services

Base7 Studio provides web design, web development, branding, and related digital services as described in the package you select at checkout. The specific deliverables for each package are outlined on our pricing page.

3. Payment

• Payment is due in full at the time of order via Stripe.
• Prices are displayed in CAD or USD as selected. Your card will be charged in the currency shown at checkout.
• All payments are non-refundable once design work has commenced, except where we are unable to deliver the agreed services.

4. Project process

• We will contact you within 24 hours of payment to schedule a discovery call.
• Design work begins in Figma. You will review and approve mockups before we proceed to development.
• Revision rounds are as specified in your package. Additional revisions beyond the included rounds may be quoted separately.
• Most projects are delivered within 7–14 business days from the discovery call, depending on complexity and client response time.

5. Client responsibilities

Timely delivery of your project depends on your participation. You agree to:

• Provide all required content, assets, and feedback within a reasonable timeframe
• Respond to communications within 3 business days
• Ensure that any content or assets you provide do not infringe third-party intellectual property rights

Delays caused by late client feedback may extend the delivery timeline without constituting a breach by Base7 Studio.

6. Intellectual property

• Upon receipt of full payment, you own the final delivered website and all custom design assets created for your project.
• We retain the right to display the completed project in our portfolio unless you request otherwise in writing before project commencement.
• Third-party assets (fonts, stock images, plugins) remain subject to their respective licences, which will be documented in the handoff.

7. Hosting and maintenance

Unless a hosting or maintenance package is explicitly included in your order, Base7 Studio is not responsible for the ongoing hosting, security, or maintenance of your website after handoff. We will provide guidance on deployment as part of the project.

8. Limitation of liability

Base7 Studio's total liability for any claim arising from a project shall not exceed the amount paid by the Client for that project. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of revenue or data.

9. Cancellation

If you wish to cancel a project after payment but before design work has begun, contact us within 48 hours of payment for a full refund. Once design work has commenced, payments are non-refundable, but we will deliver all work completed to that point.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your order applies to that order. Future orders are subject to the terms current at that time.
